AlphaCore Pharma is focusing on the development of ACP-501 (rhLCAT) to rapidly remove cholesterol from tissues and circulating cells, and thus has potential use in the treatment of several diseases, including acute coronary syndromes (heart attacks), certain types of anemia (e.g. sickle cell anemia and anemia of inflammation) and other disorders.
